What is TED?

TED is a global non-profit organisation devoted to discovering and sharing Ideas Worth Spreading. Through short, powerful talks, TED brings together experts, innovators and storytellers whose ideas inspire people around the world.

Since its beginnings in 1984, TED has grown into a global platform reaching millions of people through conferences, digital media and educational initiatives, encouraging curiosity, learning and meaningful change.

What is TEDx?

TEDx is a programme of independently organised events licensed by TED. While each event is planned and delivered by a local organising team, every TEDx event follows the same mission—to bring people together through ideas that inspire conversation, challenge perspectives and strengthen communities.

TEDxBromley proudly brings this experience to South London, creating a platform where local voices, inspiring stories and thought-provoking ideas come together to spark meaningful conversations and encourage positive change.

Meet the Organising Team

TEDxBromley is made possible by a dedicated team of volunteers who believe in the power of ideas to inspire change.

Throughout the year, our team works behind the scenes to curate speakers, build partnerships, coordinate logistics, promote the event and create an unforgettable experience for everyone who attends. Together, we are committed to delivering a TEDx event that reflects the creativity, diversity and ambition of our local community.

Why TEDxBromley Matters

TEDxBromley is more than a one-day event. It’s a platform for sharing ideas, building connections and celebrating the people shaping the future of our communities.
Whether an idea inspires a new conversation, challenges an existing belief or encourages someone to take action, every talk has the potential to create a ripple effect that extends far beyond the stage.
By bringing together speakers, attendees, sponsors and volunteers, we’re building a community that believes in the power of ideas to make a lasting difference.

Ideas Worth Spreading. Conversations Worth Having.

Join us on Saturday, 3 October 2026, for an inspiring afternoon of thought-provoking talks, meaningful connections and ideas that have the power to change perspectives.
